How many zones are on the World of Warcraft: Forever beta client's world map?

The beta client's world map, build 1.60.1.70532, lists 50 zones: 26 on Eastern Kingdoms, 23 on Kalimdor and 1 on Zephras Isle. That count includes the capital cities, which the map files as zones. It also lists 4 maps that are not zones, which this page leaves out: Alterac Valley, Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin and Darkspear Islands. The client's full area table is never used as the list, because it also holds test and unused areas.

Where do the World of Warcraft: Forever zone maps come from?

Each map is the beta client's own world map art for that continent, from build 1.60.1.70532, joined from the client's own tiles. Each zone's name sits where the client's own world coordinates place it, as a link to the zone's row. A lone dot marks a zone whose name did not fit at that size.

Which zones are new in World of Warcraft: Forever?

By name, 4 zones on the beta client's world map are not on Classic Era's: Riverglades, Mount Hyjal, Shen'dralas and Zephras Isle. Blizzard's post “Carve a New Path with World of Warcraft: Forever” names 4 new zones, and 4 of them are on the map. Each new zone carries a tag in the table, and the New in Forever chip shows only them.

What level is each zone in World of Warcraft: Forever?

The beta client's tables give a level range for no zone in build 1.60.1.70532. Where the client gives none, the table shows Blizzard's own words beside the post they come from: Riverglades, mid-30s to mid-40s; Zephras Isle, levels 1 through 12. Every other zone reads not stated. Each row's arrow opens the zone on Wowhead.

Which zones are Alliance, Horde or contested?

The client marks each zone's territory: 9 Alliance, 8 Horde and 32 contested. It marks 1 as a sanctuary, where players cannot fight each other: Zephras Isle. The client's group finder names 37 of the zones too, and it gives the same side for every one.

Which dungeons and raids are in each zone?

The client places 17 of the 30 dungeons and raids on its list in a zone. It does that with an area or a map marker of the dungeon's own name. For the rest the client files no area or map marker of their own name in a zone: Hall of Thanes, Ragefire Chasm, Deadmines, Stormwind Stockades, City of Dalaran, Scarlet Monastery, Sunken Temple, Blackrock Depths, Lower Blackrock Spire, Upper Blackrock Spire, Scholomance, Blackwing Lair and Molten Core. Where does this zone data come from?

From the World of Warcraft: Forever beta client itself, through the wago.tools mirror of its database tables. The page says which build it was read from and on which date. It is read again at least every 14 days, because beta data changes between builds.
