Guild Wars 2
Guild Wars 2 is a bright, wide fantasy world called Tyria where the map keeps happening around you. Instead of picking up quests from a board, you walk into events already under way, a village under attack or a caravan needing an escort, and everyone nearby just joins in. There's a personal story, dungeons, and a huge rolling battlefield where whole servers fight each other.

What is coming up
- First beta of the new World vs. World borderlands map World vs. World is the game's big open battlefield where large teams of players fight each other. ArenaNet's post of 22 September 2026 says the first beta of its first new borderlands map for that mode in over a decade begins on November 10. The map will still be in a gray-box state, with unfinished art, and for the beta every borderlands map is replaced by it. It is set in Ascalon during the Searing, and the plan is for it to permanently replace the Green Alpine Borderlands later. The post gives no start time or end date and says more betas follow. - Visions of Eternity's final update, Code of Creation ArenaNet's post of 8 September 2026 says the final chapter of Visions of Eternity, called Code of Creation, drops 15 September and sends players into the depths of Castora across six story chapters.
