The Elder Scrolls Online's October 2026 Crown Store showcase, which is the monthly list of what its real-money shop will sell, went up on 1 October. Its schedule names two returning Crown Crate lines, meaning two ranges of paid boxes whose contents are random: Nightfall from 15 October and Hollowjack from 29 October. It also marks four items as new.

ESO, the usual short name for the game, lists 59 dated entries on the full schedule. Eight of them carry a note saying where matching pieces can be found in game. Our reading is that those eight are the part worth reading first.

The two crate lines

Our maths on those windows puts both on sale on one day, 29 October. The schedule lists no crate line before 15 October. The same page does link a 29 September post about the new Harbingers of the Divine Crown Crates, and gives no end date for them. It does not mention free crates this month.

What is new

Four entries on the schedule are tagged new. The Abecean Sea-Crystal Wolf mount runs 8 to 22 October. A mount is a creature your character rides. The Voidcaller Scarecrow Sabre Cat mount, the Voidcaller Scarecrow Garb costume and the Zhekleg Arms Pack all run 22 October to 5 November. An arms pack is a matching set of weapon and shield looks.

What is coming back

The highlights lead with a returning home and a returning bundle. A home is a player house you can decorate, and a bundle is several shop items sold together. The Exorcised Coven Cottage home is back 5 October to 2 November. The Ascending Tide Collector's Bundle is back 5 to 12 October. The Bastion Sanguinaris home returns 15 to 29 October, beside the Nightfall Crates.

Then come the returns the page ties to Lord Hollowjack, a figure of the game's spooky season. The Hollowjack Crown Crates, the Hollowjack Indrik mount, the Hollowjack Netch pet and the Elder Scrolls Artifact: Fearstruck style all return 29 October to 12 November. A style is a look you can put on your gear.

Of the 59 entries, 47 are marked as an ESO Plus discount item. ESO Plus is the game's paid monthly membership. Four entries are listed as available for Gems and Seals, which are two of the game's in-game currencies. One, the Painting: Lair of Maarselok (22 October to 30 November), is free to ESO Plus members.

The eight notes on finding matching pieces in game

Eight entries carry a note about matching pieces you can find in game: six arms packs and two crafting motifs. A motif is a pattern book that unlocks a style of gear. A page, in these notes, is an in-game item that unlocks one part of a look, such as the mask.

Veteran is the game's harder difficulty setting for a dungeon. For each of those four, the shoulder page has two routes. Buy it for 50 Undaunted Keys from a named vendor, or try that vendor's Mystery Coffer for one key. Undaunted Keys are one of the game's reward currencies. Each of the four also names an achievement that raises the drop chance, such as "Compassionate Hero" for Bloodspawn.

Both motifs follow the same boss pattern. Drowned Mariner chapters can drop from Zelvraak the Unbreathing in Graven Deep. Silver Dawn chapters can drop from Vykosa the Ascendant in Moon Hunter Keep. In both cases the page says drop chances are much higher in Veteran or Hard Mode, which is a tougher version of a boss fight.

The last two arms packs point at the Witches Festival, a returning seasonal event. Zhekleg pages have a small chance to drop from new Dremora Plunder Skulls, which are event reward boxes, during the event. Bound versions, which cannot be traded to other players, sell from the Impresario, an event vendor, for 500 Trade Bars each. Trade Bars are another of the game's in-game currencies. Crowborne Hunter pages can drop from Dremora Plunder Skulls during the event too, and their bound versions cost 200 Trade Bars each. The page gives no date for the Witches Festival.

Our take

Two crate lines sit on this month's schedule, against the four September's showcase listed. Our maths says October's two overlap for a single day.

In our view the best part is the drop notes, as it was in September. Six times, a shop page stops to tell you which dungeon boss drops a matching piece of what it is selling. Twice more it points at an event instead. Our reading is that this is the earn-it-instead line a shop has little commercial reason to print, and here it is in the publisher's own copy. Eight of 59 is not most of them. We would rather it were.

What the crates actually hold, this page does not say, and we are not going to guess. In our view, that is the thing most worth listing. Each crate line gets a window and no list of contents.

What's next

The page closes by pointing at Season Two's upcoming solo dungeons (a Season is a named stretch of months with its own story and rewards) and the return of the Witches Festival. It gives no date for either. Our calendar carries ESO's autumn dates, each with its source, and our September piece is still up for comparison.
